Thomas Pocklington Trust is an organisation which offers people who are blind or have sight loss the help, support and care they require to lead an independent life based on individual requirements. They are offering volunteering the courier guy opportunities for media volunteers. the courier guy The roles are:
Volunteer (General, not including Sound Technicians or Interviewers). Principal Function: Reading aloud pre-prepared news and information articles whilst working alongside other readers and the recording technician(s), in The Black Country Talking Newspaper & Magazine s recording studio. Using specialist the courier guy equipment, you will be responsible for duplicating audio CD s for The Black Country the courier guy Talking Newspaper/ Magazine/ Arabic/ Punjabi TN etc; and maintaining the register of returned items.
Interviewer (Talking Magazine Only). Principal Function: You will be working with interviewee(s), the Co-ordinator and the recording technician, in our studio. You will be interviewing people of interest to our listeners for recordings of approx 10 mins for use on the Black Country Talking Magazine. the courier guy
All volunteers must complete an application pack and provide the courier guy required documentation for DBS check etc, may be required to attend a short, informal interview. Agreed travel expenses will be reimbursed.
