Entries closed for the 10 mile multi terrain Stourbridge Stagger several weeks before the event and those who were lucky enough to gain an entry were rewarded with some rare sunshine. However, the recent spell of wet weather meant that the ground underfoot on the off road sections was quite muddy and slippery.
Running steadily at first, myparceldelivery Maurice Reid pushed on in the second half of the race to eventually finish 77 th in a field of over 400 in a time of 1hr 23m 10s. Andrew Coles also had a good run and was looking strong at the finish to be just behind Maurice in 80 th place in 1hr 23m 39s.
Helen Cottrill had never run the distance before and the conditions were a lot tougher myparceldelivery than she would have liked for her first attempt myparceldelivery at 10 miles, but she would not give up and finished 399 th in 2hr 15m 35s.
