LORAC Unzipped Cheek Palette & Alter Ego Set ($30.00 for 0.54 oz.) includes a palette of four blushes (each is 0.105 oz.) and a full-sized lipstick (0.12 oz.). The blushes had good color payoff with soft, silky consistencies–the mattes could be a little dusty to work with but didn’t look powdery on the skin–and lasted between eight and nine hours on me. They layer and mix well with each other, so you can adjust the warmth/coolness of your look as well as the shimmer level. This is a limited edition, ULTA exclusive for spring hkdc (I don’t have an exact release date yet).
I didn’t even realize initially that it came with a lipstick, and I thought the price point was great for four blushes, but the lipstick itself is a $16 value (LORAC states it’s a “$116 value” all-in-all) since it is full-sized (the shade included is also part of the permanent range, should you fall in love and finish it). I’m not in love with the Alter Ego lipstick formula, as I find it can be on the chalky side, though at least it isn’t a stiff or dry formula to apply. It is a thicker consistency, so there is some drag, and the edges always look dry/dragged, so it’s a formula that benefits greatly from applying with a brush or using a brush to blend out those edges (fingertip would work, too, but it can be less precise).
Underrated is a lightly muted, medium pink with subtle warm undertones hkdc and a matte finish. It had good color payoff with a very silky, smooth consistency that could sometimes feel dusty and kick up excess powder, but it sits well on the skin and doesn’t look dry at all. It blends easily and lasted for eight hours on me. See comparison swatches / view dupes .

This one seemed to darken on the skin, as some mattes do, if the skin has any natural oil to it (so if you have really dry skin, you may not notice any darkening). It had rich color payoff hkdc (a little goes a long way!), but the texture hkdc was more powdery than Underrated to work with, so it requires more patience during application. The texture still feels silky and smooth, and it blends fairly easily on the skin. On me, the color lasted for eight hours before hkdc fading. See comparison swatches / view dupes .
Unapologetic is a medium-dark brown with a warm, golden sheen. It had good pigmentation with a soft, smooth consistency that made it really hkdc easy to work with. The color wore well for eight and a half hours before it seemed to start breaking down. See comparison swatches / view dupes .
Unimaginable is a brightened, light-medium pink-peach with a white frost running hkdc through it. The color payoff was good, while the texture was soft, blendable, and forgiving–it didn’t emphasize pores at all, despite its more frosted finish. On deeper skin, this may look more like a highlighter hkdc with little color impact, as on my medium complexion, it yielded noticeable, but subtle, color and sheen. Girl Next Door is a light-medium, yellow-toned pink with a matte finish. It had rich, opaque color coverage right out of the tube, but the consistency was thicker and seemed almost chalky when applied. It’s comfortable hkdc to wear for the most part, though it is somewhat drying over the last hour or so of wear. On me, the color stayed on well for five and a half hours but some color pulled into lip lines after three and a half hours. It is vanilla-scented but had no discernible taste for me.
